eCoCoMarket.Com ready to launch!
OK,
After what seems like forever, I am finally releasing eCoCoMarket.Com to the public on Monday October 13th 2008-Columbus Day. A great occasion for doing so. I’m setting out to build a new world and it’s quite appropriate that it’s this day. I won’t say much here. I don’t want to give away the bank but be on the lookout for a press release on Monday.
Thanks,

The Anticipation Builds…
Yes, the anticipation for eCocoMarket.Com is building for me. I’ve held off putting anything up for eCocoModo.Com and eCocoMarket.Com for good reasons. The site should be launched sometime in the next week for beta testers. From there, it will be a two-week daily review of the beta test and the effectiveness of the site-essentially a quality control review. After being in the software industry for so long, I’m very particular about quality control and smooth process flow for users. Quality software takes time, money, patience, and gumption to deliver the right product.

Where is Vaughn?
Well folks,

After some recent soul-searching, or “internal debate” if you’re atheist or a politico, I have struck out out on my own. I’ve always had a bit of an entrepreneurial spirit and now just seemed like a great time to do so. I have founded a company called eCocoModo, Inc. It is a technology and design company dedicated to the application and innovation of ethical environmental principles in the hardware, software and design industries.
You say, what does that mean? It means really doing something for mankind, giving back to humanity. I consider myself an extremely versatile technocrat and fervent environmentalist. I have a broad range of skill sets which make me uniquely qualified, or at least I believe, to bring about change in the world through my technical skills.
On a side note, I left AmberPoint to pursue other opportunities. It was a very hard decision to make as the people, customers and products are all top-notch and the market spot on. I guess after 3-1/2 years I got the yearning for something new and challenging.
I have three very large projects (products/services) on the horizon. Be on the lookout shortly and keep posted on the VaughnBullard.com or eCocoModo.Com blog sites.

Figured out the iPhone problem
Well,
Apparently, the iPhone has a problem with large resolution pictures for contacts. So what I did to test this problem, as described in the previous two blog postings, was to try a large resolution picture for a contact, then I replaced it with a lower resolution picture that I took with the iPhone itself and assigned it to that contact. I tried this 5 times with 5 different large resolution pictures and 5 different lower resolution pictures. The end result was that the iPhone doesn’t handle a large resolution picture well. What is that maximum or minimum? I don’t know yet, as most of the pictures in my iPhoto collection are of the same resolution. It does has me wondering though. The trick seems to be that for a contact, the best practice would be to use a low resolution picture to start with, or to take a picture of your contact with your iPhone and attach it to the contact.
